Steps To Going Solar
We know going solar can be complicated. We are here as your expert guide every step of the way so you can start owning your own power!
Site Survey
A member of our team will inspect the property to ensure that we are meeting the specific needs of each individual client. We will asses the current power system, the condition of the roof, and any other site specific data that is needed. Once we have completed our inspection we will have everything we need to provide a detailed proposal for the project so that we can meet or exceed your energy goals.
System Design
Once our site inspection has been completed we will create a tailor made proposal using state of the art estimating software. Our detailed proposals will cover the system components, financing options, incentives, and much more. Upon completion of the design we will review with the customer to ensure we are meeting all of your power goals to ensure you get the best possible solution for going solar.
Sign Proposal
Once we have completed our design review we are ready to talk pricing and financing. Everyone’s situation is different, that’s why we offer a variety of products and solutions for your specific needs. Whether you are looking for long term financing or simply just a cash option, we will be able to discuss your available paths with you. Through our financing partners we can often provide instant approvals for those that qualify on the spot. Once contracted for the work we can get the ball rolling towards your goal of energy independence.
Permitting
The first step to initiating the installation process is to pull all appropriate permits with the local jurisdiction. We will submit all required documents including drawings, engineering, system design parameters, and product specifications. Our team will stay diligent to ensure the timeliness of the permit procurement process. We also start the interconnection application at this point to get that process started as well. Upon completion of this step we will be granted our notice to proceed with the installation.
Installation
Finally, installation day has arrived! Most installations will be completed in one day with more difficult installations taking 2-3 days at most. We do ask for our clients to be home on the day of installation so that we can have access to the property. Our team will provide the cleanest and most efficient installation as possible and will attempt to minimize our impact on your day to day to the best of our abilities. Once installation is completed we will work towards commissioning the system according to local AHJ rules and procedures.
Permit Inspection
After the installation has been completed we will schedule all inspections for the local jurisdiction. Our team will remain dedicated to your project to ensure that the system is safe and meets or exceeds all requirements by the local jurisdiction. Depending on the area of the project we will have to meet certain inspection protocols that are enforced by the building department. It is our mission to make this a seamless as possible for all of our clients.
Interconnection
At this stage we will work with your local utility company to ensure your permission to operate is granted. We will submit all required documents in order to process the interconnection. If any upgrades are needed to the metering on the property we will work with your provider to ensure that it happens as efficiently as possible.
Permission to Operate
At this point we have been granted permission to operate and you can start harnessing the power of the sun! We will ensure that the system has been commissioned and that all monitoring tools have been sent over to our clients. We will provide detailed instruction on how to care and monitor your system so that you can maximize the benefits of going SOLAR!
